An award for outstanding ideas. New ideas often stand out clearly from the old familiar. The simple solutions often surprise us. But the best idea towers above everything. The „innovation pillars“ of the design stand for all of this. Two simple triangular pillars reach for the sky. Both are clearly set off from the connecting ground. One of the two has won the race and clearly outshines the second column.

Together they form a unit and thus stand for the partnership between the award winner and the City of Munich. The diagonally cut tips point together in one direction. Viewed at the right angle, they form the Bavarian rhombus. Both columns are cut open vertically. This surprisingly reveals the golden interior of the column, the heart of the idea, a symbol of the award winners‘ lifeblood. If you look closely, you can also guess the cloak of the Münchner Kindl, which the city patron has protectively placed around the new idea.
